If the Hills could talk...they would speak of legendary parties, the secrets of the stars, the glamour and drama of the center of the most decadent industry in the world. Hollywood--everyone wants to be a part of it. And if you're looking for a slice of the good life with views from the skyscrapers of Downtown Los Angeles to the deep blue of the Pacific, and you don't mind driving your way up winding, narrow roads, you'll feel like you've "arrived" in the Hollywood Hills. Whether you want to be in the eastern Hills closer to Downtown or the western Hills right above the Sunset Strip, you'll find what you're looking for in this amazing collection of canyons and castles.

A favorite of celebrities since the creation of the Industry, the Hills is home to a melting pot of every kind of architecture imaginable, although the classic Spanish Revival popular in the 1920's and 30's is still the most sought after when buyers think of capturing a piece of the Golden Age of Hollywood. Ranging from small wooden cabin-style abodes to sprawling and opulent mountain-top estates, you will find every style in these hills. This area is unique in that the views can either be incredibly peaceful and tranquil with green valleys and quiet vistas that make you feel miles away from the city or jetliner views of the whole metropolitan area complete with a dazzling nightime display of millions of glittering city lights below. Nothing in the flats can compare when you want to have your breath taken away! Wow! Is usually the first thing out of a buyer's mouth when stepping out onto a balcony of a home in the Hills. It is truly wonderful in that if you are looking for seclusion and rustic charm, you will find it here, and if you're looking to feel like you're dangling on the edge of the earth with a bird's eye view of civilization, you will find it here as well. Nothing makes you feel like a star when cruising through the hills on a warm summer's night.

The Sunset Strip needs no introduction. From the famous Whiskey- a-Go-Go where every up and coming rock star has paid their dues to the touristy Saddleback Ranch where you'll find visitors from Kansas City looking to ride the mechanical bull and rub elbows with a celebrity, every kind can find their fun on the Strip. Excellent shopping at the Sunset Plaza paired with a delicious lunch at one of the numerous sidewalk restaurants followed by a night dancing to a live concert at the House of Blues and a rendevous at the Chateau Marmont...a recipe for a very good time. The energy coming off the Strip is contagious--just don't plan on it being an early night in. However, if you're an early riser and want to catch one of the best views of the city while getting your exercise, head up to Runyon Canyon where the locals go to hike the loop, practice outdoor yoga and let their dogs run free. A challenging circuit, Runyon is a great way to get some fresh air and take in the sights.

One of the most desirable areas of the Hills is undoubtedly Laurel Canyon. Private and woodsy, off this winding main artery from the Valley to the Westside, you'll find every kind of home you could ask for. Rugged yet refined, it hosts a small market area in the center of the canyon where you will find a mom-and-pop market, dry cleaner, and of course the ever cozy Italian restaurant, Pace (which means Peace in Italian). Rock stars and starlets call Laurel Canyon home and so do thousands of dogs--the Mulholland/Laurel Canyon dog park is one of the most spacious, serene and popular dog parks in all of Los Angeles. Speaking of Mulholland Drive--that is the cutoff road in what becomes Studio City on the backside of the Hills.
